Throw Back Thursday

This is my second thursday linking up with Just A Small Town Girl's Thursday Throw Back. I love this blog link up because it brings back memories. In yesterdays post I talked about getting back in shape. You can tell where I am going with this fitness movies!

I am sure your mom or even dad had some fitness movies hidden somewhere. The number one fitness  person from my childhood stands out is (drum-well please) Richard Simmons. Is it his voice, or his clothes that sticks in my mind but one thing is for sure is that this guy loves to work out.

Another name that is familiar is Jane Fonda. If you youtube her, you will find a lot different work out video's by her. I could have chosen one form my time period but I couldn't help but love the look of this video!

When I was in my early twenties I was introduced to Carmen Electra Fit To Strip. My favourite one is the one with the personal trainer. In twenties minutes you hit some core muscles and often I forget that I am working out. I recently dusted off the DVD as part of my getting fit routine. (The video I found has another language with it.)

I haven't bought anything recently for DVD wise but I do have the wii game Zumba. Video games are now the new rage over the tradition of movies but for some reason I always come back to the Carmen Electra DVD set.  What work out movies are in your closet?

  1. Thanks for linking up! What a fun idea!

My grandma had Richard Simmons Dancing Grannies. haha!

Some coworkers and I are going to start working out after school to DVD's and videos from Youtube. I don't know if we'll do any of these though. :)

  3. I remember my mom was always on a diet and trying different exercises when I grew up. So these names are definitely familiar to me, Suzanne Summers comes to mind too. Hehe.
